I've always made my own poke bowls at home, but I also decided to try the jellyfish salad out of curiosity, and I'm glad I did! It was surprisingly delicious—the jellyfish had a nice crunch and was served cold (I had expected it to be soft and slimy). The dressing had a bit of a kick to it and was served over a bed of mixed greens. I highly recommend giving it a try at least once.
Initially, I was hesitant about trying this restaurant because I wasn't a fan of the location (the building's layout felt a bit off to me), but I'm so glad I pushed past that. This place is definitely a hidden gem!
FUNKO is a cozy stand situated on the side of the Market Place. It features a charming little garden with picnic tables and umbrellas, perfect for enjoying a meal outside. They serve the best poke bowl I've ever tasted, offering a wide array of fresh vegetables, along with delicious tuna and tofu. The sauces are absolutely delightful as well.
Excellent food! Had the “make your own” bowl. Chose the shrimp, wifey had the chicken. We shared, honestly two of the best poke bowls we’ve had! This is my new stop when hanging/shopping DT-MD! Absolutely delicious! I really appreciate the vegetarian and vegan options available, and the seating area is charming. The staff member who assisted us was very friendly!
