the first time here to gads charcoal cuisine on logan street, im palmdale shopping complex, directly opposite garden city. I was on Saturday night. it has been completely down. many people were out there to big smokers, so I had a whole restaurant for me, inside anyway, as the photos show. not a huge vegetarian option available as it is a charcoal grill....but enough to keep me satisfied. AMAZING. The place was empty when we arrived but it was mid afternoon in all fairness. We were hungry, saw that we would get served quickly, saw the smoke from the coals, the smell of the kitchen, the beautiful clay pide oven and had to go in. Oh my gosh!!! delicious tasty food. We got the mixed grill: fresh succulent lamb, chicken, adana cutlet plus herbed rice, decent fresh salad, homemade bread garlic toume dip. Plate was sprinked with lots of fresh herbs, meat was hot, tender and full of flavour. Salad was cooling and well dressed. Took about 15mins for our meal. Friendly staff. If you want healthy tasty food try here!!
The customer service is quite appalling. This is dine in Restuarant not simply a take away corner shop. We ordered a dine in meal that cost over $45 and we were told that we have to also buy water when we requested for a jug of water. When we discuss this with the owner his response was very vague , they also explained that their water is not filtered hence why they can’t give it for drinking, but then why is the same water been used for cooking. Besides this , the food is nice , but I personally wouldn’t come here if you’re after a good dinning in experience.
We TRIED to dine here last Friday night (July, 2019). We were told by the waitress that the first four meals we requested were all unavailable including a rice pilav and a salad! How hard is that! When we asked what was actually available, we were told basically only pide and pizzas. This is on a Friday night! I could have understood if it was a Monday night, but not a Friday night! Forget this place and go to the very busy middle eastern restaurant around the corner in the same shopping centre.

experience: the shisha did not last more than 20 minutes and tasted quite bad. I tried to explain this to the chef, but she was very rude and in total denial, although one of the hired agreed that a customer was complaining on the same day. the chef then called the hired who was just honest. they will certainly avoid if they are looking for a decent shisha.
I had the unfortunate experience of taking away one of the worst shawarmas from this place. I don't know whether it was because it was in the late afternoon, nevertheless there was no excuse for the stale rubbish I was served. The guy who served was also surly. I would not recommend this place.
This place is open really late and people often chill outside smoking shisha and chatting. It's a friendly place with some decent, smokey grilled food and Egyptian fare. Great late night option.
The best grill chicken i have tasted so far in brisbane...the quantity and the quality of food is very nice. Hope to be back again soon...nice and cozy place. Neat and clean...great service
