A decent and cheap Mexican place the food is really simple but also I wasn't that pleased with my dish.Good: The prices are great about $11 for an entree and it feels like you get a really good deal Portion sizes are hugeBad: There were flies around and it felt a little more messy Hard to get the attention of servers and the service was slow The enchiladas were a little blandOverall wouldn't come back but this place felt authentic and that it was a local business.
Hands down the absolute worst menudo I've ever had. It's flavorless (no cumin or spices) except the flavor of unwashed tripe. The tripe is extra chewy, so be prepared to chew all day. The beans and rice were average. I won't be back with all the other good mexican food choices in the district.
The birria al horno is amazing (available only on weekends). It's my favorite spot for traditional Mexican dishes. The service is quick, the prices are reasonable, and they only accept cash.
