We're quite local to Galloways so often call in regularly. Nice little pie shop (not a restaurant as per TA title! selling good pies, sandwiches and cakes. Do a good pie, peas and gravy in winter too. Reasonably priced. Usually a bit of a queue, especially on Saturday lunchtime. No seating inside so perhaps one to take back home or to the car with you.
Often pop in here for snacks, if you ask for something not on display the staff will make it for you! Like Lee H said the egg mayonnaise roll is really special. Take away only, there is often a queue out of the door but always three or four staff serving so it is not a long wait, good prices too...
Called in on the way to visiting my husband in hospital, took him a freshly made ham salad on a long roll, the salad was crisp and fresh, my husband gave it a big thumbs up
The staff are really friendly. There is also a women who belts out power ballads, which is always welcome when ordering a pasty! Book a table now
Lots of fresh and flavoursome fillings on fresh baps. What's not to like!! Friendly staff which is always a bonus.
The restaurant always offers fresh and delicious food with excellent and friendly service.
The food is hot and of good quality. The prices are also very reasonable.
