I love this sushi place. I order once a week and delivery is always less time than estimated. They never fail to include a terrific little freebie (usually it's edamame) and always bag the hot food and sushi separately. I'm a huge fan of delivery right now as I just had a baby. They are always prompt, friendly and quiet as I always order right after I put baby to bed. Definitely give this place a try!
Gao's is simply the best! We've been ordering from them for some time now and have never had a negative experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming when you walk in. The food is fantastic, especially the sushi, which is always fresh and comes in a wide variety. The sushi rolls are large, and the prices are very reasonable. We're so happy to have discovered this hidden gem!
We have gyoza which we're delicious and not too doughy. Then we had the combo teriyaki which was delicious and not on a stick with rice, miso soup and salad. We also tried the seafood ramen which was delicious but more soupy then expected and has scallops and shrimp. They also gave my husband a little plate of sushi which he loved.
We were expecting a great meal but really, was very average. The sashimi pieces are too big and the spicy tuna rolls didn't appear to have nice chunks of tuna. It was more of a chopped breadcrumb type filling with some cucumber slices. We were given a few crab rangoon, which were tasty. Not impressed otherwise. Book a table now
Yes!!! A delicious sushi place in Rockland AND they deliver ?! Just stopped in and got some rolls to go. Super friendly folks and it was fresh and delicious. The greatest thing to happen in Rockland in a while!! I will definitely be a regular. Welcome !! Best of luck to you !
This is definitely worth checking out. Really good quality sushi and very reasonable prices. We stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the food. I would definitely recommend trying the Salmon Don. All in all, we will definitely return to this restaurant.
Incredible sushi at an amazing price! I order from here at least once a week! It's a cozy little takeout spot, which I really appreciate. They also offer delivery, and it’s quite prompt as well!
It hasn't been open since July 17th, according to their Facebook page. There haven't been any updates since then, and I visited the restaurant only to find it still closed. Book a table now
