Stayed at Cala Gran over a weekend for a family celebration and booked the Gardeners Arms for a celebratory meal out on sat 22/04/23, it was a short bus ride away so was perfect. There was a group of 30 including children. The manager Jo was the perfect host, she had decorated the area where we were seated and had even bought the birthday man a card, this was unexpected and a lovely gesture. The food was delicious, very tasty and perfectly cooked and presented, they even called your name when bringing food to the table, never had that happen before and made you feel welcome. Whilst the staff behind the bar were ok, the food served was really poor. For starters the crispy mushrooms were wet but ok. We ordered 3 Chicken madras curries all of which came with rock hard naan bread. Our other two meals we’re surf and turf both of which came with rock hard stale chips and tough 8oz streak that was over cooked from the requested medium. Sausage and mash was also part of our order the sausage felt dry and stale and had to be wetted by the included gravy. The mash was mash! We wouldn’t go back or recommend here again.
We visited this restaurant for lunch and were greeted warmly by the owner. The food was decent, but we were disappointed when we requested salt and were informed that they had run out. My Sunday lunch lacked flavor without seasoning, which was a major letdown. The restaurant appeared worn out and could use some renovation. I recognize that businesses are facing challenges financially, but it's important to ensure the fundamentals are in place.
Stayed at the caravan park but ate here a few times during our stay. It was significantly cheaper than eating on the park and still felt like a treat! (The Sherry Trifle cheesecake was TO DIE FOR!!! We were really looked after and the team made a fuss over the children, when our waitress saw me feeding the baby she offered to take my lunch back to keep it warm until we were ready! Such a sweet gesture and really appreciated!

We visited the restaurant today and were very impressed by the exceptional service provided to us and our 2-year-old. They went above and beyond to ensure our experience was the best it could be, setting up the booth TV with children's programs, providing toys for our energetic toddler, and making our meal as enjoyable as possible. The service was outstanding - thank you, and we will definitely be returning.
I go every Thursday for the Excellent quiz, Last night I dropped my debit card under the table, The Landlady was great...she got my number from the booking and rang me just as I got home and arranged for me to collect it the following morning..which I just have. Great service and saved me loads of hassle cancelling the card etc.
We had an excellent experience at this restaurant thanks to Jo, Andy, and all the staff. The food was fantastic and our kids were really happy, which is crucial for us. Top-notch service all around!
What a great job Andy &Jo and all the staff are doing @the Gardeners you are proper looked after all the time bringing the pub back to being a local pub for everybody keep up the great work .
