Mein Kollege und ich haben im Hotel "altes Rathaus" übernachtet. Die Dame an der Rezeption hat das Restaurant, das zum Betrieb gehört, empfohlen. Es ist ein einfaches Gasthaus das etwas älter eingerichtet ist. Der Herr hinterm Tresen war sehr knurrig und Wortkarg, die Bedinung freundlich aber auch nicht wirklich nett. Ich wollte einen Salatteller mit Hähnchenbrust wie im Internet angeboten - gibt es nur im Sommer ! Also habe ich Schweinemedaillons mit Käsespätzle gegessen. Die Schweinemedaillons waren mehr als durch und ziemlich trocken. Die Käsespätzle waren ok. Salat, den man sich am Buffet holen kann, war in Ordnung. Man wurde satt aber ein zweites Mal brauche ich nicht kommen.
Warnung!Wer in diesem Restaurant ein Essen bestellt und es wagt zu sagen, dass es ihm nicht schmeckt (fritiertes "Kalbsschnitzel" mit fritierten "Bratkatoffeln") läuft Gefahr von der Wirtin persönlich in übelster Form beleidigt und bepöbelt zu werden. Allerdings nachdem sie mit dem "Fleisch" am Tisch gestanden hat um zu beweisen, dass das Fleisch gut sei und der Gast keine Ahnung habe, weil diesen "Geschmack" von "Kalbfleisch" nicht kennen würde. Zudem legt die Wirtin auf solche Gäste keinen Wert".Fazit: Wer einen schönen Abend und gutes Essen haben möchte, geht besser nicht in die Rose nach Ostfildern!
Cosy restaurant. Originally decorated. Very varied selection on the map. We had appetizer, main food and dessert. Everything was delicious. The salad buffet was also beautifully dressed and the salad tasted well. The food was served in a short time. The staff was very friendly and routined. There is also a very good wine map. Absolutely recommended. We're coming back!

I ate at Gasthof Sur Rose, and it was super good what I ate and the servants were super-serving, too, so if you're around, you should eat.
