Rockin live band!! Happening crowd!! Pool, food, good drinks, can’t beat that!! Last Saturday night…1st time hittin a sports bar since 2019. Gem City Grill, in Monrovia, been around for about 22 years! DAMN!! Atmosphere was so happening and inviting, that we forgot to wear our masks. no one was wearing one, so if you’re scary, this is not the place for you. It’s my first time there. Apparently, they have live bands every Saturday, and pool tournaments every Wednesday. We got there kinda late so all we could get were tator tots, but they did hit the spot! This bar deserves five stars and more for everything it offers, including the cleanest restrooms in town. The drinks are fantastic, the staff is friendly, and there are a couple of pool tables along with several dart boards. The new owners have transformed this old, rundown dive bar into a true gem. A major highlight is Gem City’s Market Grill, which operates the kitchen from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. The food is outstanding—definitely worth checking out! This was my first visit to this place, and I was impressed. The bartenders were excellent with their drinks—friendly and sociable, despite it being a busy late Sunday night. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but I've heard great things about the wings. I was advised to request the gem sauce! I will definitely return to sample more items from the menu and am looking forward to my next visits. I might even play some darts and pool while I'm there. Oh, and bartender Kenny really knows his stuff!
I'm thrilled to have Market Grill Sandwiches back; I've missed them since they left their Shamrock location. They now operate out of the kitchen at Gem City Grill. This restaurant is the perfect spot for a delicious lunch. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the food tastes as amazing as it appears. It's an excellent choice for date night or when you're looking to enjoy something tasty along with a nice drink.
This place has the best wings in Monrovia—definitely ask for the gem sauce! The beer selection is fantastic and very affordable. The staff is friendly, and I absolutely love coming here!
It's a good old fashioned local bar where drinks are reasonably priced and everyone knows your name. Live music and karaoke on various nights adds to the charm of this Monrovia favorite.

Awesome bar. Trish, Pauly, Meghan, Helen, and Kenny are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Restrooms are very clean and the atmosphere is always fun!
