This is not a great restaurant to visit if you're not familiar with it. I had to ask a lot of questions, as there were no menus displayed. When I finally found out where to look, the options were still unclear. It was difficult to hear the cashier, which made the experience awkward.
Went in a while ago to order a to go bowl, the 1 staff member thought a personal phone call was more important than taking my order, after standing around for 5 minutes, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. Guess my money isn't that important.???????
Order was ready when indicated. We were missing a bowl in our bag at pick up however the store quickly made the bowl and made the issue right in minutes. Food was hot and delicious!
The food was ok, not good, not great. We were hoping it would be more like Bibibop than it was. They are very limited on your options. Only a few choices for vegetables and sauces. Book a table now
The chicken bowls were overcooked and not enjoyable. My son did enjoy the combo steak/chicken. Will not order again from here though used to eat at genji frequently
The Steak Shrimp Bowl was amazing! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp was equally well-prepared. The service was also impressively quick.
We've been ordering takeout from Genji for years and have loved their hearty Hibachi-style bowls. They're definitely worth a try for a change of pace!
