I've come here several times because even my extremely picky Chinese parents enjoy it. First of all, the amount of banchan is INSANE. Like we were scrambling to eat it because it wouldn't all fit on our table. I would come here just for that tbh. Their signature dishes are their kimchi bulgogi and grilled duck. The duck was honestly just okay, not as flavorful as I expected. I really like the kimchi bulgogi though, the sourness really complements the fatty beef. The staff is really sweet despite us not speaking Korean, and also gave us some complimentary spicy raw crab that was delicious! Not fishy at all and while very spicy, was such a treat. It's been a while since a Korean restaurant made me full without breaking the bank. I am not exaggerating that a regular portion at Kum Sung equates to a small at any Manhattan korean restaurant. We ordered the pork bone potato stew/gamja tang $16.99) and spicy pollack stew/saengtae tang $18.99) and each was filled to the brim with meat and veggies. But surprisingly, the highlight of the meal was the assortment of free side dishes that accompanied the food. We got 9 different types of banchan that showcased different flavors and textures of seasonal vegetables and seaweed.
Regarding the shrimp and cattle, there was a person who came by to cook everything for us, which added a nice touch to the experience. We also received a generous assortment of sides to enjoy with our dishes. At the end of our meal, they even served us a ripe and sweet pineapple, which was a delightful treat.
As for cleanliness, the restaurant was well-kept, and the bathroom was also clean. The food was prepared properly, as I experienced no issues afterwards. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant and would definitely return.
I don’t usually leave reviews. However, this was my worst experience. I ordered a regular-size $35) of Sanggyupsal Gochujang Gui dish and all I got was 12 pieces. I thought they missed my order and that my order might be from a combination with cold noodle normally combo has a smaller portion than the regular order).I called them and explained however, they were said it's just their normal portion and never wanted to do anything about it. Very impressed with their customer service.

Traditional and delicious Korean restaurant! The waitstaff are very friendly. I loved the Korean BBQ combos, especially the one with steak. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for great Korean food and BBQ!
