the globe inn is located in a narrow passage from the pedestrian street in the middle of the city. According to its website, the gas house, founded in was a cheap irrigation hole for robert burns. the main has a series of stands and tables for lunch and there was another sitting area for eating. the robert burns link was actually kept quite low key in the bar area with some pictures on the wall and a few mentions on the back of the menu. if you hadn't known before, you'd think you'd stumble in a completely inconspicuous bar in the central dumfries. a part of the decision to go here was on traditional Scottish oriented on the online...read more
