my wife and I lived in the mountain black stone (on the road) and decided to try this place and we were very glad that we did. this is a real German wine bar/kitchen and offered a very nice wine card of all local German...Berry and spatbegunder (pinot noir) in the valley as well as authentic German foods. the service was excellent and our waiter was friendly enough to work with our poor German and help us. the atmosphere was alive and full of life - it seemed like a local hangout that is exactly what we wanted! it was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone staying in the opposite!
Food was good and the wines too, but the service did not go. After the food was only partly cleared, no one asked if we wanted to order anything, there was no service power appealable and overall we felt little welcome. Shame! Above all, the terrace with the view over the vines is an optical highlight.

Beautiful view from the terrace to the vineyards to the other Rhine side. Good service, delicious food with not too big card. Prices appropriate. Very recommended!
Today the Riesling supplies are filled up quickly. Many delicious options. Very nice and competent advice. Good value for money. Always like to come.
be warned, they don't take reservations. Food is wonderful and so is the wine. Food is served when ready take your time, but it is worth it!
