The food is okay, something to eat if you are really hungry or want to grab something quick. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and the Pepper Steak combo, I liked the Mongolian Beef slightly better but overall was not blown away by the taste of the food. The taste of the fried rice was not what I expected in comparison to other fried rice dishes I have had. There is no place to sit down inside the restaurant but the hosts were friendly and the food was prepared quickly. Parking: There is free parking on the side of the building next to the restaurant. Otherwise there are metered parking spots on the street.
As soon as I walked in and caught a whiff of the aromas, I was optimistic that the food would be impressive. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed due to the overall lack of flavor. If you choose a spicy dish, it will indeed pack some heat, but that's about the extent of the flavor you'll find. The food tastes underseasoned, as if it’s just been thrown in a lightly flavored sauce. I ordered the Mongolian beef, and to my surprise, 80% of the dish consisted of vegetables. While the prices are reasonable, there are definitely better options available for a similar cost.
I've been making the trip from the city to Bethesda for years, and I keep coming back to the Golden House time and time again. I truly enjoy this little gem. The food has always been delicious, well-prepared, and served hot. One of my favorites is their hot and sour soup, which is now vegetarian. I often request a dish of bean curd and broccoli that isn’t on the menu, and they are always accommodating. They've also introduced a really simple online ordering system, and I'm currently waiting for my order!

Ordered sweet n sour chicken and the sweet sauce was like water and zero flavor. My wife had the chicken fried rice and chicken was barely cooked everything was poor quality!
