after recommendation and reading of previous opinions we decided to come to taste in this very small pastry-salon tea. Our impression is mixed between the good for the pastries served (a lemon-rhubarb pie and the speciality of the house: the millefeuille) and the way for everything else. We feel a little lost as soon as we pass the door: no special reception for the tea room you find yourself caught in the tail of the pastry.... you find a table and you have to wait long before we come to get rid of the table and bring you the map .... on which pastry shops are announced but when you order, yen has more! (to avoid the unpleasant feeling and frustration I would have liked that I was told that...
It is necessary to be honest, the pastries are good and much better than elsewhere but although the cream of the thousand leaf is delicious, it is unabundant while the leafing appeared too thick. the almond kouing we took was warmed up in the microwave (on our request but we thought it would go into one of the potisseries cooking ovens) and too long what spoiled it: soft paste in the middle and hard outside. the waitress heard our remark but did not take it into account; She could have replaced the aman kouing we didn't eat for example.
I like a lot of very rare kind of address: a place in the quiet of the tourist wave of the port, hidden eyes. here we make individual cakes for the pleasure, not a pastry chef like we see a lot. the result is therefore clearly positive, damaging that the choice remains restricted. an excellent address!
