I have visited this restaurant several times now. The meatloaf is my favorite dish so far - it is incredibly moist and the gravy that comes with it is delicious. The mac and cheese and potato salad are also exceptional. While it may not be a budget-friendly option for lunch, the portion sizes are generous. I recommend ordering ahead over the phone or online as they are often short-staffed and the food can take some time to prepare. Overall, the Southern cooking here is really delicious.
My husband and I were eagerly anticipating trying out this restaurant, and I must say we were not let down. The food was seasoned perfectly and everything was simply delightful. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy delicious soul food. The catfish, fried chicken with mambo sauce, cornbread, and baked beans were all incredibly tasty. We can't wait to return.
Short version, good food. This business needs to be supported. Long version, good food, good portions. This is a place not yet discovered for how good it is. The location makes it a little discreet. It's in the far corner of the shopping center, next door to a tobacco place. Easy to miss if you don't know where to look, but hard to forget once you've been there.

My sister I drove to this establishment from Baltimore to support this black owned business during black history month. I got the catfish dinner that only came with one piece and for the price you'll expect two my sister got the catfish tacos which was good. The service was good but very slow. Overall it was a HUGH LETDOWN. I wouldn't return.
this is the best spot around! go and get a plate, then get another to go. no disappoint. been a few times now and mama d is the definition of love! but it doesn't stop there the whole kitchen staff shows team work, love and care. I can't wait to go back.. as always! ? see ya on turkey wing night!
This has got to be the greatest restaurant around ?? The food in large portions?? nice and hot?? Mrs Davis (owner)is the nicest and funniest person you would ever want to meet. It’s nice and clean inside and out.. I would recommend this place for anyone…
I placed a takeout order and went to pick it up, but unfortunately they did not call to let me know they were out of the items I ordered. It was disappointing to drive all the way there only to find out that my order had not been made.
