If you ever wonder who the "Grandma" actually is, come to any of their two branches to find out. The Grandma's offers home style cooking using some of the raw ingredients from their own farm. The restaurant also emphasizes health eating like low salt diet and they only use olive oil for their dishes. The Grandma's at McEvoy has a very spacious and friendly ambient surrounded by lots of greens. The place is not just a restaurant but also a bakery and sometimes a catering kitchen. You may find customers from young couples to a big group of families. A kids corner is much needed to let the kids let loose and the adults to have a better ease of mind. I would have given Grandmas a 4 if the service was half decent. When we arrived, we were told they were "too busy" so we stood there waiting for a table. Mind you, there were tables free. It was just a matter of them being cleaned. Compared to other restaurants, they weren't busy at all and had plenty of staff. Our food took about 30-40mins. We ordered 2 spinach shukshoukas, 1 original shukshouka and the mushroom hommus. We were all happy with our shukshouka but the hommus was a huge letdown (especially coming from someone who has a Lebanese background) It lacked so much salt and was far too oily. We had to mix it through ourselves and add salt. It tasted okay after that but still underwhelm...

I came across Grandma's At McEvoy today bu pure chance. Driving through the area, I had somewhere else in mind but couldn't get a parking spot. Driving on, I spotted Grandma's and pull in. So glad I did. A fusion of cafe, bakery and providore, the staff were pleasantly attentive, the food was fresh and the menu offered a genuinely interesting range of hand made food. It was hard to leave without a couple of tubs of cookies which quickly disappeared back at the office. I'll definitely be dropping in whenever in the area.
???????? @grandmasau ???????? ???? GRANDMAS CHOCOLATE VOLCANO CAKE: popular 80's style volcano cake with salted caramel centre ???? . Some venues just have THAT dish that everyone that comes through orders and photographs. For Grandma's this is THAT dish. But not just aesthetic in looks, this cake is beautifully moist when warmed and the melted caramel centre oozes out as the breakthrough the outer layer. Definitely a highlight for me ????????????????????????
I came across grandma in Mcevoy today, today bu pure chance. When I drive through the area, I had elsewhere else, but could not get a car park. I focus, I spotted grandma's and pulled in. So glad that I did it. A merger of cafe, bakery and providence it was hard without walking a few tins of biscuits that have disappeared quickly in the office. I will definitely drop in the area whenever.
Really enjoyable experience with good food and great coffee. Friendly service making it more pleasant. When the food arrived it was beautifully displayed and absolutely scrumptious. The bakery offered a vast selection of take home goodies and highly recommend the chocolate volcano cake with salted caramel. Absolutely Mouth Watering !!! Book a table now
Took 5 minutes for me to make the decision that this is the favorite bar out of all the ones I've visited on my Aussie/NZ adventure.
Great place - do walk down those stairs even if you've had trouble finding the place and think .mmmm it looks dingy.

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
