Booked this charming country inn for 3 nights, decided to stay an extra night after only 10 minutes in the place. The bar /dining area had such character, breakfast was exceptional, room was amazing, but the staff were the best we have ever encountered. Bar staff were great, the chef and kitchen staff so friendly when you pass by the kitchen, but the stars of the show were the manager Steve who interacted with everyone, so friendly, helpful, and a fountain of knowledge. The star of the show was Joe who looked after us at breakfast each morning, no words to describe his pleasant manner, if you could encounter this guy at breakfast every morning you would start each day with an incredible ray...
Welcomed by staff on entry and escorted to our table. Good menu and good drinks menu. Some taster real and craft ales were brought to our table. We decided to have the steak pies which were handcrafted and very well presented. The Timothy Taylor boltmaker that was on went well with the meal. One of the best pies I've had, and lots of other items on the menu for us to try another time. Staff were very professional, friendly and not in your face all the time, an excellent balance. I'd like to thank all the staff we met for their excellent service and we are looking forward to visiting you again. There is an upcoming event where they match the meal to local ales. We stayed at this restaurant for two nights, including bed and breakfast plus dinner. Our room was located off the courtyard and was quite fun. The shower was decent, although the underfloor heating was slightly temperamental. The bed was comfortable. The food was fantastic, although the seafood platter was almost too big! It was great to have the option of a glass of wine for the same price as a bottle, which helped avoid alcoholism and allowed couples to have different drinks without breaking the bank. If only every restaurant did this! Our Yorkshire breakfast order was taken accurately and was not swimming in grease - a true joy. We will definitely be back next year on our next trip to Yo...
I had a wonderful Sunday lunch with friends at this restaurant. The food was delicious and I was happy to find a variety of gluten-free options available. They were very knowledgeable about dietary requirements, and even cooked the chips separately in the oven. The gluten-free Yorkshire puddings and gravy were a fantastic surprise. The restaurant is also dog-friendly, which was a bonus. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

5 stars isn’t enough for this wonderful B&B/Pub. Stayed 3 nights and were well looked after. Lots of detail in the room, fresh milk from the bar on demand for teas in the room. Food in the pub is delicious and every member of staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful. Thank you, and we will be back.
Amazing! After calling in frequently for drinks and nibbles we decided to head over for a meal. Both had starters and the same main! Outstanding. The food really was faultless, staff friendly and attentive. We had such a wonderful evening. Thank you to all at the Granny Arms. We most definitely will be back soon
Booked the Grantham to break our journey on our way south. What a find. Staff were amazing. Room was small (what we had booked) spotless, with a superb en-suite. Perfect for our overnight. Breakfast was delightful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this superb establishment

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The service was friendly and the tomahawk pork steak with peppercorn sauce was delicious. I highly recommend it.
