I visited this restaurant last week in search of great chicken wings. My friend and I ordered three different orders to sample various sauces. From the very first bite, I could tell something was off. I mentioned to my friend that the chicken didn’t taste very fresh. He suggested it might be because they were fried in old oil. However, with each wing I tried, the flavor just felt like stale chicken. To test his theory, I also ordered sliders with fries. The fries were decent and were probably the highlight of the meal. So, it seems the issue was less about the oil and more about the chicken itself being old. My friend ordered the artichoke dip but only took one bite and didn’t want any more....
The Grasshopper, Too has become my go-to restaurant for those moments when I'm uncertain about what to eat. Their menu features a wide variety of options to satisfy any craving. The atmosphere is lively, the staff is welcoming, and the bartenders are skilled, creating a fun experience overall. Some of my favorite dishes include the French onion soup and the fish and chips, which come with tasty steak fries instead of the thin, flimsy fries often served elsewhere. Also, while it's not listed on the menu, I strongly recommend the chicken francese served on a toasted garlic long roll. Pair it with a cold draft beer, and I'm guaranteed to leave with a smile on my face!
The bartender was subpar; he seemed to have an inflated sense of his own importance simply because his father owns the establishment. The drinks were weak and the food was disappointing. Who puts olives in a quesadilla? I've been to the other two Grasshopper locations and they were fine, but Grasshopper Two was really lacking. Anthony was great, but Fitzpatrick behaved like an insecure child, mistakenly thinking we were talking about him, and interrupted us. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
Been coming here for years. Hell, even my dad used to go here back in the day. Local pub that's still standing in an area where nearly everything else has come and gone. Solid reason for that, too. It's an Irish Pub, and that's exactly what you get. Alcohol, food, and a good time. Bartenders are always great, even on the busiest nights like karoake night. The foods good, the beers good, the environment is good. Still gonna keep coming here for years to come, as far as I can tell

We visited the weekend before St. Patrick's Day to avoid the crowds. Since we live relatively nearby and have dined at this restaurant several times before, we were excited for our meal. The staff has always been very friendly, and the food has consistently been quite delicious. Unfortunately, the live band was overly loud, causing us to skip dessert and leave earlier than we had intended.
Just ordered 2 baked potatoes to go. Girl put the 4 little square of butter in the container laying next to the hot potatoes. When i got home the butter was melted to liquid and spilled out all over.It takes a certain kind of stupid to put the butter squares in the container touching the hot potatoes. Cant make it up!
The Guinness was outstanding, featuring a lovely head and a flawless pour. Unfortunately, the corned beef and cabbage fell short, as they were bland and required more seasoning. The fish and chips were good, but nothing remarkable. On a positive note, the restaurant has late hours, which is a great advantage.
