Our server, Tessa, greeted us and took our drink orders. I asked for a cherry coke, which she kindly offered to make for me. The drink was delicious. My partner, who dislikes onions but loves French onion soup, asked if it could be made without onions. The kitchen staff did an amazing job, and the soup turned out perfectly. I chose the Shrimp and Corn soup, which had a great blend of flavors with a spicy finish. We also ordered slices of pie, and I added ham and pineapple, which was a fantastic choice. Promptly seated during lunch hour on Feb 1st, in a hurry so ordered off quick lunch menu. After a wait of 30minutes we witnessed a server at an adjacent table reconcile a mistaken food delivery by taking our food which was ordered before that table and give it to her patrons who had clearly ordered the same item. We were then told we're waiting on fresh fries, and after another 15minutes of listening to staff chatting at the register, we asked for our food and were given an apology. We left not having eaten so they get no stars.
Once again I order pick up and our order is wrong. If asked for light sauce on both pies and they not only don't have light sauce but it looks like the added extra sauce. You would think that I would learn as this is the third time in a row. It's a pain to scrape off the sauce and most of the cheese and toppings come off as well. The pizza is definitely the most expensive pizza in the area and they could care less if they give you the best product why do I keep buying.
We ordered grotto pizza for delivery to our hotel. Everything came hot and fresh. The pizza was good but I've had better at other places. I think it's the sauce that I'm not quite a fan of but that's just my personal opinion. The wedge salad with blue cheese dressing was absolutely delicious and the cheesy garlic bread with marinara sauce was good as well. If I was back in the area, I would go back for the salad alone. We like Grotto. The plain pizza was pleasantly tasty and fresh. Good distribution of ingredients. The cheesesteak pizza was blah. Tasteless and greasy. Almost no steak on the pizza. The antipasto salad was pretty good. Caesar salads were good
It's whatever, I would never be here if not for sports. If you are looking for a local collection of Delaware's most unfortunate looking women however, then this is your spot.
The pizza we ordered was flavorless and served cold. The server lacked personality and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was run-down and unclean.
The wing special has been discontinued, the salad is consistently disappointing, but the pizza is delicious. However, prices are extremely inflated. Book a table now
