This is a small restaurant with around 25-30 covers which is not open every day so make sure you book. The tables are on the smaller side, but nonetheless comfortable for either 2 or 4 with sufficient space between them not to feel cramped. My only exception to this is that two of the tables for two people are rather cosily positioned next to the counter and the back wall respectively with less space so you might want to make sure your booking is specific about where you don't want to sit. Great idea as the offerings are as fresh as possible and well prepared.I enjoyed dinner here on a Saturday night which is strictly fruits de mer (oysters, crab, shrimp, lobster, etc., no fish); exactly what I came for! In fact, I ordered both a crab and half lobster as well as oysters, etc. The server gently suggested that, in his opinion, that may be a bit too much for one person and that I may prefer to have everything except the crab and then see if I'm still hungry. We received a recommendation to try this fish restaurant and first impressions were that the place was fairly basic with a small very limited choice of food.However, the first impression was quickly eradicated by good service, the chef coming to our table to explain each course available in detail and he then cooked the food to an outstanding standard (the swordfish cooked in a banana leaf was very special).The place quickly filled up on a Wednesday evening, which gave the place a great atmosphere, suspect you would need to book early for weekends.I wish we lived closer than 500 miles away and could make this one of my regular local restaurant's.
Ate here last Thursday when on a one-night stopover in Limoges. What a find!Small, basic decor BUT the food was heavenly. We started with a dozen oysters each...served simply with lemon..their freshness and quality needed no further embellishment. Probably the best we've eaten.Main courses fresh and sensitively prepared with skill and knowledge of flavour combinations. Out if this world. My partner's dessert was a fusion of flavours and textures.Great wine list and excellent coffee and Armagnac to finish a great meal.
