Corn beef sandwich was microwaved into tough inedible pile. My sandwich was built on crusts. The meat may have been ok if it was not microwaved beyond recognition. Expensive. The buffalo chicken salad was not much better than 711. Pickle is frozen still with no taste. This place should not be able to use name Halsted Street Deli.
I eat here out of convenience since it's located in my building and I get a discount. It's pretty good as a deli. I really haven't ventured past soups and sandwiches though. The staff is friendly and it's pretty quick.
Stopped in with some coworkers looking to try a new place. I had a bbq chicken wrap that was kind of plain. Good chicken salad and egg salad per them. Salads are a good size. Price was affordable for a nice lunch.
Today, I received stale bread in my Italian roll, and I'm quite unhappy about it. When you pay for fresh sandwiches, you expect better quality. This deli has disappointed me on multiple levels. Book a table now
We always choose Halsted Street Deli as a stop on our group bike rides. The service is quick and welcoming, and most importantly, the sandwiches are delicious!
The staff here are fantastic, and they serve the best chili! This is our go-to spot for lunch on the weekends.
Solid array of sandwiches and they daily specials are usually pretty good.
