HandleBar is a great spot to enjoy a post bike brew and bite. It's located in the Upper Village which is much quieter than the main village, and an easy pedal/walk up the road. Their patio is great, allows dogs and has ample space to leave your bike within viewing distance. They're always rotating what they have on tap and offer beer in bottles as well. The food is delicious - I highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts (best I've ever had!) and the currywurst. The hot pretzel, fries and fried pickles are also delicious staples :) They have four happy hours daily (12pm-1pm, 3pm-4pm, 6pm-7pm, 9pm-10pm) with $4 draft craft beers, $5 wines, $5 ceasars and $5 appies. I've been in a couple of times now and really like the Handlebar as it has a bit of a euro ski vibe that I miss a bit in whistler. The beers are excellent and the staff friendly willing to recommend beers that they clearly enjoy themselves. I really like the feel of the space and I think it will become a very popular après spot as everyone working there clearly loves the mountain and will keep the stoke going. Somewhere to definitely enjoy some beer, sausage and sauerkraut in your ski boots.
The beer selection in Whistler has always been a sort of sad joke - this place finally fixes that! A good selection of BC microbrews on draft and in bottles for you to choose from.Finally! Release from the boring choices between Kokanee and Whistler Brewing that we have been stuck with in Whistler.
Really nice little bar at the base of blackcomb mountain. Super friendly staff and nice social bar where you can meet some cool peeps. We tried out some of the different beers it was awesome! The pretzels are lovely too! Book a table now
Great beer selection with rotating taps so there's always something fresh to try. Loved the local scene and relaxed atmosphere and I'll be back for the brussel sprouts!
