I used to go to the location on N West Street, mostly because it 's right around the corner from where I live . However, I stopped driving over there, because I found, over an extended period of time, that they 'd get my order wrong about every third visit . Well, tonight (June 23, 2024), I decided to give the Bellefontaine Avenue location a shot . Well, guess what, . They got my order wrong, too ! Instead of putting lettuce, ketchup and mayo on my wife 's burger as it was as ordered and as it stated on my receipt, they loaded it up with pickle, onion and mayo, NOT EVEN CLOSE . I don 't where John Heaphy 's getting his employees, but wherever if is, he needs to try another source . I mean, h...
It took 40 minutes for me to get my food (probably because there were only 2 people cooking said food and I came I 'm while it was busy). Also while I was waiting, either the manager or a senior employee asked one of the other workers to lock the doors so we can serve the people in here, then we can go back to taking orders . Which seems pretty unprofessional in my opinion to tell a worker to lock patrons inside the store, especially if you say that in a way that said patrons can hear. Plus, I 'm pretty sure that 's against fire safety or outright illegal.
As soon as I entered this restaurant, I had a strong feeling that I wouldn’t trust anything coming out of the kitchen. The seating area was extremely dirty, with the carpet coming up and mud everywhere. My husband ordered the tenderloin and mentioned that the meat seemed to be just a thin layer on top of the breading. It was very disappointing, especially since we used to stop here whenever we visited from out of state. We won’t be coming back again.
This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I was disappointed by the service. The staff behind the counter seemed more focused on texting and eating than on attending to customers. I had to wait a long time for my kids' meal and the cheese curds. Overall, it was a very frustrating first experience.

Their mashed potato bowls like baked steak are my favorite. But they have 4 more but this is my favorite!! N their twist cone yum!! N of course the tenderloin sandwich is awesome. They are running a special after 4pm tenderloin cheaper but the same taste. I highly recommend Happy Daz!!
Small town '50s style motif. Excellent service and better prices than most fast food. They have some unique dishes.
