After being in isolation for weeks my son took me here for lunch. We waited a long time for our food And when asked where it was told us it will be another 4-5 minutes we eventually got our food and asked the waiter why it had taken so long (45 mins)when other customers who were after us got theirs, the reply was the chef had lost the slip with our order!! Food was ok have had better in other pubs but I guess it was half price august, sons naan was rock hard so asked for another one and came in a dish with an hair in it couldn’t be bothered to say anything about it because I don’t think they would have cared anyway. I believe it's important to provide a balanced review, so I completely disagree with the negative review before. My husband and I have been regular visitors to this pub for the past year. The food is great, the service is top-notch, and the staff are very attentive. We were able to make a reservation to take advantage of the "eat out" promotion, and it seemed like everyone else did too. Despite a slight delay of up to 45 minutes on our food due to the high demand, we were understanding and enjoyed our meals. The pub was fully booked, with tables spaced out for social distancing. My experience at this restaurant before the Covid pandemic was positive. The safety measures in place made me feel comfortable dining there. I visited three times during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and despite it being busy, the service was still good. The outdoor seating was full one evening due to nice weather, causing a slight delay in receiving our food, but it was worth the wait as it was hot and well presented. During a quieter visit last week, one member of our group described their steak as one of the best they'd ever had. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I plan on returning in the future.
I went to this restaurant with my family to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday. Unfortunately, there was no social distancing measures in place, no clear one-way systems, and staff were not wearing face coverings. The tables were left dirty and we had to wait almost an hour for our food, which turned out to be terrible. The steaks were overcooked, the chicken was dry, and the kids' fish was inedible. It was obvious that the chip fryers needed cleaning. Overall, I would not recommend eating here again. However, if you just want a drink and a place for the kids to play, it could be suitable.

Went in here for dinner as we where passing and thought we would give it a try. Staff are great. But that’s where it ends. Had the beef Sunday lunch which I left most. Beef smelt off. The rest just tasteless. I knew it was going to be a bad meal when I saw the 2 for 12 Sunday dinners but didn’t think it would be so bad. As with all things in life you get what you pay for. To be honest you may as well go Iceland and get a ready made frozen dinner because that’s basically what it is.
Went here tonight and whilst the food was ok the place is ridiculously understaffed which resulted in huge waits, being forgotten about and all sorts. Not the staffs fault (who were there), but you cant have 3 staff in total dealing with the bar, waiting tables, taking orders etc (both inside and out the building). Not good enough.
Visited here for my daughters birthday lunch. From booking the table to providing us with plates for the cake, nothing was too much trouble.Lovely surroundings, nice food and fab service. A big thanks to all those involved.One of many visits to both pubs and certainly won’t be the last. Lovely!
We stopped here after a recommendation so glad we did. It was very busy have all the necessary restrictions due to covid. We couldn't fault the food or service. Food came out hot presented well. Staff were friendly happy to help. We will return.

Nice food and bar staff were excellent. We went when the eat out scheme was on, lunchtime. Food came quick and not boiling hot for the kids : nice organised pub.
