in the middle of the residential area frankfurt- hausen is the villagekrug. we had expected to have a home restaurant, but found a large-scale locomotive with 3 not separated areas. the greeting was quite boring, but we were then led to a tusk. the service was nice, from warm hospitality, but far away. the menu is equipped with many types of diners, we have made ourselves for kartoffel soup 4 € 2 slices of broth were calculated with 1 € and French wobble soup decided as appetizer. the potato soup was a manageable and almost taste-neutral composition, no inlays and fragrant. the main course jägerschnitzel 11,80 € was very marginal. the 2 carvings were easy to stir and not completely roasted....
The Dorfkrug is in a residential area and within walking distance of Industriehof U-bahn. This restaurant is a local favorite, so I recommend that you go early for dinner. On my last visit with a party of four adults and a toddler, we had salad...and schnitzel. I chose Goetheschnitzel with herbed potatoes and Gruene Sosse (green sauce) made with sour cream and seven herbs, etc. Yummy! We had a dark beef on tap. Now this may seem like a heavy, fried German meal, but really it is not. The servings are very generous, however. I have eaten at Hausener Dorfkrug four or five times. The menu is extensive. The décor represents local culture. The patrons enjoy their meals without the loud to do of so...
We booked this hotel as we needed to be pretty close to where the hotel is located, its in a great location and very close to Frankfurt centre and the tram system takes you both to the Airport and the city. Surprisingly the hotel closes...between hrs and opens again at hrs so if your thinking of checking in between these times better skip it. The best thing about this hotel is its restaurant, its filled both at lunch time as well as for evening meals and mainly by locals. I have to say the food is typically German but fantastic and the service is also very good, we ate with persons all different dishes so we could taste some of everything and not one of us had a bad thing to say about the fo...
Um 17.00 Uhr hatten wir Ostersonntag einen Tisch bestellt.Der einzige weil ausgebucht laut Telefon, dem war auch so. Als wir das Lokal betraten,wurde uns mitgeteilt.Das es erst ab17.30 Uhr Essen gibt, aber in einem Ton als hätte man gestört. Dann war die Spargelsuppe kalt und die Spargelstücke nicht geschält, also holzig.Die Suppe wurde dann gewärmt aber nicht mehr schön angerichtet. Das Menue war nicht billig.Es wurdedann etwas besser. Vielleicht Ostern nicht mehr,wir sind neu Gäste.

Schlüssig - ein gut bürgerliches Restaurant. Wenn man dort hingeht, darf man keine Feinkost erwarten. Aber das Essen, was geliefert wird, ist gut. Ein Goethe-Schnitzel mit ein paar (vielleicht etwas zu wenig) Kartoffeln und grüner Soße war lecker. Das Tartar meines Gegenüber sah absolut genial aus und war von der Menge her super! Die Bedienung war schnell,freundlich und aufmerksam! Für eine gute bodenständige Mahlzeit ist das Restaurant jederzeit zu empfehlen!
I went there with a few of my co-workers trying to find some authentic German dishes. We were not dissapointed, but I got the impression not everything was fresh on that day.
If you're looking for a traditional Frankfurt diner this is a good choice. Classic local dishes mixed with international standard variations there's something for everyone.
Kamen rein und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Unsere Erwartungen wurden nicht enttäuscht.... Super leckere Rumpsteaks!Nur zu empfehlen. Macht weiter so!
