AVOID! AWFUL SERVICE WITH EXTREMLEY RUDE STAFF! Our entire take out was burned to a crisp literally black and charcoaled! Inedible! Shockingly rude staff there the owner (who wouldn't spell his name out for me, when I politely asked shouted down the phone and told us to go elsewhere. Apparently he's stopping take outs in the next week or so as this is a frequent problem. From reading reviews on here now, it seems others have had issues like this and I imagine I'll get a rude response with him lying about this happening! Very strange way to treat regulars (no doubt he'll say he doesn't recognize us as he has said to other regulars that have left reviews on here! we'll gladly find a new restau...
We were looking forward to a fun evening out with friends. We had made a reservation for 6pm, as we enjoy chatting and wanted to make sure we had plenty of time. Despite the food being delicious, the side portions were small and disappointing. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, we had to constantly flag down the waitstaff for assistance. At exactly 8pm, we requested the bill and were surprised to find the waiter standing there ready for us to leave, as we were still finishing our dessert. We were not informed during the booking process that there was a two-hour time limit for tables. Despite there being three empty large tables, we were asked to leave. Arrived at 6pm with friends to enjoy a lovely evening and was told very abruptly we need table back at 8pm. Ordered drinks told again need table back at 8pm. Food very nice but we feel was very expensive we then ordered more drinks so spent quite a lot of money to then be told at 7.50 we had to leave and was given bill before we had even finished eating. As a first time customer at this restaurant after being told it was lovely I thought it was appalling customer service as all they were worried about was how much money they could make from another table full of customers. Won’t be returning.
The table was booked for 6pm and from the moment we arrived we were told that they needed the table for 8pm . This was repeated numerous times throughout our meal . By 7.50 we had finished our meal and got told that we had to have our bill and no desert was offered . We were asked to vacate our table however there was no one waiting to be seated and a couple of tables empty . Good food but very poor service !! Lived in the area for many years but the first time we had visited this restaurant and won’t be coming back !

I recently celebrated a family birthday at this restaurant and it was my first time dining there. We were warmly welcomed by attentive and friendly staff. The meal was promptly prepared and served, with good and filling food. I ordered the musaaka and was very satisfied with it. The restrooms were spotlessly clean and the background music was not overpowering. Despite being a small restaurant, we did not feel cramped. The prices were reasonable and overall I would have no hesitations in recommending this restaurant.
Usually great… but unfortunately I have had the worst food poisoning (sickness, diarrhoea from Saturday night, I believe from the prawns. (All I had eaten that day was a bagel so I’m sad to say I am certain it is from Hayat. I called the restaurant to inform them yesterday and they apologised and said they hope that it wasn’t them, but I have been bed bound for nearly 3 days so I won’t be returning. Such a shame as it was one of our favourite restaurants.
I’ve been here a few times, in a couple and with a large group of friends and the service has always been great. The food is always very good, cooked to perfection, lots of flavour and pretty generous portion sizes. The decor a modern and done to a great standard. They certainly know how to make their guests feel comfortable in every way at Hayat!
I attended with my daughter and grandson. The staff could not have done enough to make us feel welcome. The food portions are massive and the taste and presentation exceptional. I am taking my family and girlfriend for Christmas and am certain to not be dissapointed an exceptional place

It was our first time in hayat and NOT gonna be the last time. Service was great and professional, felt so valuable. cheff was doing a great job, them lamb chops were delicious, definitely coming back. Thanks for a great dinner HAYAT.
Disappointed as want To order dessert but was told limited time was up and had to leave Disaster as this was a birthday celebration They are only interested in making money and not customer service I will not return
