I've been coming here since they first opened, and the quality just keeps improving. It's fantastic to see a restaurant not just survive but truly thrive. Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, cheesy macaroni and cheese, pork ribs, tri-tip, and garlic bread—there was clearly no room left for dessert! I wanted to compare Hazy Barbecue to Slow Hands in Pleasant Hill, North Back Forty in Pleasant Hill, and Dickey’s in Vallejo. I’m impressed and will definitely be back for those burnt ends and that carrot cake. I might even try some of their salads next time. If you’re in town, don’t miss stopping by!
Wow, what an incredible spot! Hazy Barbecue is absolutely fantastic—such a fun place to dine with reasonable prices and generous portions. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I discovered this gem while in town for training and with two more sessions next week, I’m already looking forward to returning. And I can’t forget to mention how amazing their garlic bread is! Parking is limited, though, as the small lot fills up quickly.
The restaurant is a typical BBQ joint with a wonderful selection of beers and friendly staff. However, we were a bit underwhelmed by the food. The tenders arrived lukewarm, and the mac and cheese portion was quite small for $12. The nachos had good flavor, but the burnt ends were served in large chunks that could have been chopped up better. Overall, the BBQ was decent, and the ambiance along with the service was enjoyable.

Unfortunately got the experience of meeting the new manager, Antonio. From start the finish the passive aggressive power trip made my enjoyment of the establishment a rough one. I finally called him out on his under the breath comments and outright disrespect and he just said “your perception is your reality” as he walked away. ???
Can here on Mother’s Day. The wait staff was not prepared and they were short on cooks. Table was dirty on arrival, food came cold, wait was incredibly long for a basic breakfast.
I absolutely love this place! They serve the best salads in Danville for lunch. The BBQ is always fantastic, and the brisket is my go-to choice!
Been at this place last few times helping my dad move and we both feel In love with this place! The owner and the blonde cashier are great!
