A laid-back working-class establishment with bar food second to none in the city. Cold drafts, cocktails, and sports are always on tap. Frequented by locals but everyone is welcome. My last visit over 2 years ago was okay. But when I learned that they are now charging customers a fee for using a credit card, that became a deal breaker. And I will no longer visit this establishment. Bars and restaurants are a luxury. They are not a necessity. Customers are a necessity.
This is a great local bar! The staff and regulars are friendly and seem to know each other well. There are more TVs than I’ve seen in a long time, which means you won't miss any of the action. The food is quite good, and the menu offers a variety of options while still keeping things simple. I’ll definitely return for sports, especially when the local Philly teams are playing.
A fantastic little neighborhood taproom! The warm, friendly ladies behind the bar make you feel right at home. Their made-to-order ribeye cheesesteaks, served on a lightly toasted roll from Conshohocken Bakery, are so delicious that you'll forget about Chubby's and D'Allesandro's, even though they're just around the corner.
Really friendly bartender. Came right up to us as soon as we walked in, even though it was a full bar. Drinks are somewhat limited but not bad. Just what we needed for the moment. Would go again if I was in the area.

We met our son there on Black Friday, and the staff were fantastic—friendly and very attentive. We will definitely return when we visit Roxborough again.
