Every time we're in Looperland, we make it a point to stop here! The buffet is fantastic—definitely a wonderful selection. My family members moved to Ontonagon a few years ago, and no, people don’t necessarily relocate to the UP from Chicago because of the 'witness protection program'; they did it because they love the Porkies and the entire area! At Henry's Never Inn (great name, by the way!), I absolutely adore the 1890s tin ceiling, the vintage bar, the pin-ups in the restroom, and the owners. It’s also a favorite spot for snowmobilers, which reminds me how much I miss snowmobiling! What an experience! This place is truly one-of-a-kind. It reminded me of a family reunion when a son comes home from college for the first time, and mom prepares a feast with all his favorite dishes. They only offer the buffet from Friday to Sunday, and the setup in the bar was a bit unconventional. However, for just $14 per person, you can enjoy an endless supply of homemade comfort food without any wait, which is fantastic. Just grab a plate and load it up with whatever you find. Their dessert table is enormous, and if the bread pudding is available, don’t hesitate to try it! Just be sure to bring cash or a check (what? lol).
I came up from Chicago to check out Ontonagon and stayed in Rockland, right across from Henry's. The owner of the general store told me not to miss the Friday fish fry. There were more people there for the fish fry than I'd seen in Rockland the past three days. In all my travels I've never seen a better buffet. Not just fish, and desserts to die for. If you're within 50 miles on Friday, be sure to stop in.
They call their buffets a smorgasbord for a reason. They had so much to choose from! The Sunday brunch is spectacular. It's only $9.75/person and you can eat as much as you like. Choose from breakfast and some lunch foods and you won't go home hungry. Juice and milk come with the buffet. They also have Italian nights and other smorgasbords on different weeknights. What a great little spot!

Me and a couple friends went in never been there we sat for 20 minutes I was trying to order chicken strips the guy says I’m the only one cooking I got a few ppl ahead so we left and went elsewhere he’s slow af he walked past our table a few times it’s like he didn’t wanna be there ,he didn’t even asked if we needed drinks bring some better workers there he’s so rude to us never again
This is the WORST place to go! The bartender is so rude! He would NOT let us order food. He is so lazy!! Why do the owners employ such a crabby, rude bartender working there!! This is the second time in 6 months that we drove 40 miles to come and eat there just to be treated so terrible! Do NOT waste your time with this place!
Food was really good! Portions were huge! The Tatooed Bartender was very sweet and friendly (that is what she called herself! . If in the area, would recommend a stop. Food delicious, especially the Rueben. Placed a little dated but that 's part of the charm.
The bartender wouldn’t get us our Pepsis. Treated us like kids when we make more money then the bar. Bald head is a meany. I’d probably throw up on him.

Call before showing up for the Friday night fish fry. It doesn't happen every Friday. Luckily we called before going.
