My breakfast experience was great I had a great waitress in fact I watched her character as patience and friendly to a customer who seems to have mental health problems, the woman was clean and beautifully dressed. I also watched and overheard another waitress If she doesn't leave, it must stop suspecting that this woman should stop coming to the restaurant. The woman liked to talk to herself, but she wasn't disturbed. I live in this community and see a variety of homeless people with mental illness that it is part of our culture. We must remember that we must treat all people with goodness, dignity and respect. This woman paid peacefully for her meal she was just a person with a mental illn...
I came here once for a breakfast, at the end of May 2021, before heading to work. The meal, that I have ordered was delicious. At the same time, it was not on the expensive side. Furthermore, in the morning, there was ample of space to sit down, enjoy the meal, and drink coffee. The waitress, who attended my table, was friendly, helpful, and polite. Another positive note of this establishment, they had unlimited coffee refills. Of course, for the first coffee, I had to pay. Thus, if anyone is looking for a fairly priced restaurant in downtown area of Claremont, I would recommend to stop by Village Grill!
I loved the service. It was my first time there but I could tell that this restaurant has plenty of regulars and the general vibe was welcoming. The only thing I could think that could be bothersome for some people is that the booths are very tight and compact. If you 're bigger, you might be uncomfortable sitting on the booths. They do have a larger patio area outside though. Personally I was very comfortable. Even my 1 year old was tall enough to sit on the booth without a booster seat.
There are no more enough seats! Great service, excellent food and reasonable prices in an environment that is cozy and feels like at home. When you arrive when you are busy, it is worth waiting!
