La Herradura is a hidden gem of authentic Mexican cuisine nestled in the near South eastern area of Evansville, near Barnes and Noble. The value for your money is crazy, I got their House Special Sampler, two plates of amazing food for $11, never been to a place that gives you as much variety as I had for the price I paid. The meat is seasoned authentically (just same salt and pepper mainly) so I think that is confusing to some, but it 's truly authentic that way without taco sauce or taco seasoning which is americanized versions of Mexican meats. It's an average Mexican restaurant—nothing particularly noteworthy. The service leaves much to be desired. However, I must say they did a great job with the decor, and the place is clean. The food is quite similar to what you'd find at most other Mexican restaurants; I can't say there's anything here that sets it apart. They do offer delivery through GrubHub or DoorDash, though I'm not certain which one. I’d recommend this spot if you're looking for a place to have dinner without the hassle of waiting for a table. Otherwise, I'd suggest checking out a different Mexican restaurant that offers a better experience.
The food was decent, but the portion sizes were quite small for the prices. I ordered the chicken on the beach (dinner portion) and was surprised to receive less than the lunch portion for $12.00. It was served with a tiny bag of chips meant for two people. My husband enjoyed the fajitas, but he also felt the portion size was too small for $12.00. We also had to wait a long time for our food, even though there were only two cars in the parking lot. We expected more for what we paid, so I think we’ll stick with our usual Mexican restaurant next time.
Really nice, clean place. Service was good. Wait for food was really short. This was my first time and I wanted to try the Hawaiian Quesadilla which had been recommended. Wow, was it good! If this was indicative of the rest of the quite extensive menu, can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful restaurant! The service and food were top-notch! I ordered the Herradura Chimichanga Special, which includes one beef, one chicken, and one shrimp chimichanga. The beef was tasty, but the chicken and shrimp were outstanding!
