Het Blauwershof - Table reservation

Saturday lunch for three restaurant was busy but they quickly found us a table. As is quite common in the area, we were the only English speakers there, but our waitress spoke a little English which can be handy when the local accent is so broad! LP Junior and I opted for the set menu at 18 Euros for three courses we both opted for the home made terrine which was top quality then an excellent carbonnade for her and coq a la biere for me. Mrs LP took a large composed salad which seemed to hit the spot. A generous portion of local cheeses followed my chicken the ladies enjoyed a local dessert of papjetaart. This restaurant like all the others in the village seemed closed at night we were there. It came as a wonderful surprise. An authentic French liking atmosphere, good choice of local beer, quite close menu choice (but it matched us . Very welcoming (good work we speak French and Flemish, but the staff did not seem to know a word of it! Fast service. The meal was delicious and we thought it was very good inexpensive. Would return.

Eat well, beer excellent. Bought a t-shirt and some of the beers brauted to take home for the restaurant. Decor is very interesting and I mean that in a positive way, even if it is not what I would choose for my home.

I don't know what the name of the menu is and order for lunch on Sunday type of beef stew n frits; the frits is one of the best really delicious and good; the beef the sauce incredible for you to try...

This was recommended by our hotel (Monts et Merveilles) and what a recommendation! large local menu, extensive selection of local beers, and a very entertaining host
