I'm really disappointed with the decline in quality at Hibiscus. The food has gotten worse, and they keep raising the prices. Recently, my dad, who has been buying fried rice from there for years, had a terrible experience with stale and cold rice. It made him sick for a whole week. I strongly advise against eating there because the quality has seriously gone down, and it can be a risk to your health. The restaurant has a dirty and cramped atmosphere, and the staff is always rude and inattentive. Hibiscus used to be the best West Indian restaurant in Queens Village, but now it's not doing well. After doing some research and reading other 1-star reviews, I discovered that this restaurant had received 9 violations from the New York State Health Department just two days earlier, on January 25, 2023. Given these serious issues, I believe this restaurant should be shut down or subjected to another health inspection, as the food being served is neither healthy nor sanitary.
This business seems to exploit the West Indian community, offering low-quality food that people feel compelled to buy out of a perceived lack of choices. It's important not to support establishments like this that take advantage of their customers and serve poor-quality food.
If I could’ve given no stars I would’ve done that… They wouldn’t deliver so they told me to call DoorDash… I called DoorDash for the two items listed and they sent me only one so I ended up paying $37 for a General TSO’s chicken, which, by the way was disgusting and they wouldn’t do right by us by sending us the extra meal that they neglected to put in the bag… Which probably saved us because it probably would’ve been disgusting as well Stay away from this place.!!!! Food is disgusting and their manners are even worse. Two thumbs down
We came to the restaurant on a calm Saturday afternoon where there were only a few other parties here. The food was very good and the portions are huge. There’s a lot going on from ringing phones, to loud music, etc. but it’s still a great spot. Would definitely come back for a drink and some small bites!

Unbelievably delicious and authentic Guyanan food! Atmosphere is upbeat and decor is beautiful. Service was fantastic! Michelin would do well to eat there and give it a rating that’s how delicious and fresh it is! Hostess, waitstaff and bar tends very professional and amiable. I’ll be returning!
If I can give this place a one star I will (date 05/02/2023 I order 7 food an when I went to pick up the girls at the desk to pick was so rude an the place have bare man rass drinkin no ladies because of the rude girls wrkin there no other female wanna go ,food was horrible
The service is slow, but the food is good. The waitress could improve her attitude, and the food could be served a bit hotter. The fried rice, however, is excellent.
