Happily surprised! It's not a fine dining restaurant but don't let the front facade fool you. The front looks more like a cheap takeaway joint but its actually a great city Side Indian restaurant with a funky interior and friendly staff. We ate for dinner tonight and the food was great. Served quickly, all very tasty and for a pretty reasonable price. We were actually lucky enough to book through dimmi and got a massive discount which made it cheaper than cooking! All in all its not the flashest place but the staff are friendly and attentive and the food does not disappoint.
Went there on a Saturday night to have dinner with my friends. We ordered chicken biryani, goat curry, Lahori chicken and naan breads. There was nothing special about the biryani but one of my friends exclaimed that he has had a better biryani at the same place but during lunch time( maybe because of the chef). The curries were good, we asked the chef to make it hot n spicy and it was up to that level. Probably won’t go there for biryani but it is a decent place to have main course. I tried this place on half price dimmi deal as we were in the opposite. the food was hot and delicious and we were served quickly. it was good to try some Pakistani food instead of the usual Indian. it was a quiet week night, there were only one waiting staff and we could see that he also treated with Takeaway/delivery commanded. he was efficient, not rude, but also no smile or talk at all. no problem for us, because it is not a nice place to eat, but some people don't like it.

Went with jay son, a pretty basic looking restaurant but really fantastic curries. I had the Lahore Lamb which was delicious, rich and packed with cardamons and bay leaves, I thought it’d be too much to eat with garlic naan and rice but in the...end I just wanted to eat more and more.
We had ordered Chicken Biryani and some Indian Curries. The taste of curries was way below expectation. Not much resembling the Indian curries taste.The biryani was also too dry and tasteless. The ambience too is bit dark with sloppy service.
The appearance of the restaurant is a bit deceptive. The food is delicious and the staff were very helpful in pointing out vegan options on the menu. If you like Indian (or Pakistani) food then you should definitely try this restaurant.
Food was pretty good and a good amount of spice. Their pistachio handmade ice cream is really good. Service was good too the food took a while to come though. The serving sizes are pretty small for the price you pay though.

had few choices to participate in silvester. celalayan was not disappointed. we ordered the Tandoori chicken, biryani and cheese naan, which made even more special at night.
good part. eating is delicious. the place is a bit difficult to find. I think there's one area to improve the ambiente of the place. price is okay, but could be cheaper.
