After having tried atleast 20 indian restaurants in all over australia in last 10 days, I can confidently say that this one wins hands down for failing to understand what indian cuisine is. I still regret the moment when i asked for my dishes to be spicy. The great chef just put raw chilly flakes into my paneer n potato dish to make it spicy! Why? Why would you like to burn my food pipe by raw tasteless chilly- laden food in the name of spicy indian food? Ordered chilly paneer, bombay aloo and daal makhni, all of which were terrible. The daal was undercooked. Spicy dishes were red chillies served in hot water. Please do not order from here if you know n expect what indian cuisine is. Bad mem...

I had a lunch set plate here and wasn't expecting much, but really liked it. For $15 I got a tin plate with a few pieces of Malai chicken tikka - chargrilled chicken in a creamy garlic pepper sauce - plus rice, a naan, poppadom and some mint dip and butter chicken sauce. The butter chicken sauce was very good, with a really savoury, onion-driven kick and the peppery chicken very tasty. Went back and had the fried marinated fish platter, which was also tasty but much drier. The decor is good and there were a few people in there who looked like regulars. The staff also were friendly and attentive. Better than expected.
Okay Indian food. They have a standards Sydney Indian food menu (butter chicken, mango chicken etc) The actual food isn't all that bad but nothing to write home about. I would rather cross the road and eat at the Korean BBQ joint. Still not the worst Indian restaurant I have eaten at in Sydney.
Went with jay son, a pretty basic looking restaurant but really fantastic curries. I had the Lahore Lamb which was delicious, rich and packed with cardamons and bay leaves, I thought it’d be too much to eat with garlic naan and rice but in the...end I just wanted to eat more and more. Chicken Malabar is amazing! Home from home feels. The starters are also pretty good. Take away, however, is a minimum of 35 US dollars. This is a pity ????. Otherwise perfect! ??????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????? "
We had ordered Chicken Biryani and some Indian Curries. The taste of curries was way below expectation. Not much resembling the Indian curries taste. The biryani was also too dry and tasteless. The ambience too is bit dark with sloppy service.
Ummmmm YUM! I ordered a vegetable korma from the lunch special menu which came with rice and naan bread. It's absolutely delicious, the staff were lovely and it was ready in no more than 5-10 minutes. Definitely my new Friday lunch spot.
The appearance of the restaurant is a bit deceptive. The food is delicious and the staff were very helpful in pointing out vegan options on the menu. If you like Indian (or Pakistani) food then you should definitely try this restaurant. Book a table now

"My girlfriend really enjoys thirsty bird, but I think it's just average. The fried chicken is pretty typical, but the pickles stand out as unique."
