We visited this restaurant with a group of colleagues. It is a quaint restaurant decorated with Nepalese flags and has portrates of Nepalese people lining the wall. The staff were Nepali, were friendly and welcoming just like the people of Nepal. It is a BYO restaurant with a corkage charge. There is a banquet menu for $35 and you can also order all la carte. We went a la carte on this occasion. We shared the momo's(Nepalese dumplings) The delicious samosa chat which comes as a salad with yogurt, tomato, spanish onion, crisp noodles and a home made tamarind sauce. We aslo had the succulent spiced chicken wings crisp batter as our starters. Upon recommendations from the group we ordered the m...

A nondescript restaurant which greets you with a huge polished gold Buddha at the entrance, the Himalayan Char Grill serves an assortment of Nepalese cuisine which is watered down and catered specifically for conservative tastebuds. I ordered the spicy chilli chicken and requested for additional intensity, their famous momo and a mango lassi. Firstly, The mango lassi was poured from the typical giant bottle and tasted more like a sugar pound than anything sour and probiotic. Secondly, the momo was decently wrapped but the thickness of the momo skin overwhelmed whatever savoury fillings it had and the chilli-sour-mayo (I couldn't make up the sauce) was a totally mismatch. Lastly, the chilli...

First, the mango lassi was poured out of the typically huge bottle and tasted more like a frosting than all oxygen and probiotic. Second, the Momo was decent wrapped, but the thickness of the momo skin overwhelmed, which he had ever hearty fillings, and the Chili-Sour-Mayo (I could not make up the sauce) was a completely defect. After all, the Chili chicken was anything but authentic. I h... Book a table now

Best butter chicken and keema lamb ever! The first time I've actually taken leftovers home in years! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try something new but not too adventurous haha. The cuisine is very similar to Indian cuisine but there's a slight but noticeable difference in the taste of the curry and it's slightly sweeter. I actually prefer the curry here by a mile but I think it's a matter of personal taste. Just beware of the opening and closing times which, like all the restaurants and cafes in Glebe, are sort of confusing if you haven't been in this part of town much before. I think they close at 3pm after lunch and open again at 5:30pm for dinner so don't come in betw...

Wonderful and lovely service. They were always so polite and nothing was a problem for them. I had Masala Papadoms With Spice Yogurt, Momo, Aloo Chop, Masala Beef Cheek, Lamb Shanks, Steamed Basmati Rice, Roti (Nepalese Flat Bread), Side Dish Platter (Raita, Tomato Onion Salsa, Mango Chutney, Lime Pickle), and Himali Kulfl (Mango Kulfi). I had an Iced Tea to drink. The food was full of flavour and especially loved all the sauces especially the ones on the side platter. All of it was quite mild and really delicious. Make sure you have plenty of rice or roti to mop up all the sauce.

Really delicious food and not too heavy. Highly recommend the momos and the grilled lamb options. Lovely staff and the upstairs room has carpet for those who are sick of v noisy dining rooms in Sydney. Great place to go with friends in the inner west.
