This review centers on the dim sum at this restaurant. We arrived about ten minutes after they opened and were fortunate to find one last table available for four. They also have outdoor seating. The dim sum menu is somewhat limited, featuring mostly typical dishes you would find at any other dim sum spot, with the exception of the broiled sticky rice with wasabi sauce. Ok speaking as a white girl who just stumbled into this place having no clue what I walked into and not being able to read the menu, this place was fantastic. So I ordered off the picture menu and got what I think is sea cucumber. This was spiced with wasabi and was a texture somewhere between jello and a pickle. It's not something I would order again; however it was good. Next came the soup and holy cow that was absolutely fantastic! I came on a Saturday at around 11:00am with my family to yum cha. There was very minimal wait ~10 min). They have their own parking lot. They have outdoor seating with tents. Some are private tents. We sat outside, which was actually quite nice. The food was decent, price was fair. I have the taste pallet of a child, so take with caution when i say that my favorite dishes were the purple rice noodle with crisp and shrimp, and the salt and pepper calamari. The service was fine. In late July, our group of seven enjoyed dinner at this restaurant, and my highlight was the geoduck clam, which was served in two delicious styles. The stir-fry was superb, and the soup made from the clam's head was also quite tasty! We ordered eight additional dishes that were decent, though not remarkable. I had never eaten here before, having only had dim sum, as I usually go to the location on Grand Avenue in South San Francisco. Since we were staying at the hotel right next door, we decided to give dinner a shot! If you make reservations in advance, you'll be treated to a fantastic view of the bay!

The Chinese food at this restaurant is outstanding. It boasts a stunning view of the planes taking off and landing at SFO. The dining area is spacious and offers plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Parking is very convenient as well. They provide an impressive selection of fresh seafood. It’s definitely a place worth visiting! I had the geoduck, which weighed 1.5 lbs, and it was prepared in two delightful styles. I thoroughly enjoyed both: one was poached with bean sprouts, and the other was cooked with sizzling rice in a flavorful vegetable broth.
The steamed fish was excellent, and everything else was well prepared. The view of the bay was spectacular and well appreciated.Unfortunately, even with a reservation and our on time arrival, we were made to wait for at least 15 minutes even though there were plenty of tables available. They were understaffed and service suffered noticeably as a result. That had an outsized impact on the enjoyment of the meal and the overall experience.
Had a dinner with my 12 colleagues and I feel like we would've ordered more food if the service wasn't so slow. The food was okay, so sad they Didn't have deep fried shrimp balls. What really stood out to me were how awful the steamed shrimp dumplings were. They were all stuck together and when we tried picking it up, the entire thing would fall apart. Parking is also terrible!!!
The preserved egg and pork congee at HL Peninsula is extremely disappointing. It lacks savoriness and has a strong fishy flavor. I have tried many congees, but this one is the worst. I can't believe the decline in their food quality. I would recommend avoiding this dish.

I really enjoy the BBP Pork buns and pastries, along with the chive and shrimp dumplings at this restaurant.
The Siu Mai is not very good, but the ribs and congee are excellent.
