went to ho jiak to try as recommended by friends, ordered the undersigned normal char koay teow, hainanese chicken rice, a roti and huh satay. char koay teow was nice and hot, but didn't have the nice wok taste I had expected to have chicken rice...what tasty, but not yet quite the wow factor, ordered 6 satay skewers and got 12 paid for 12,) the roti was accepted to come with the choice of curry sauce or condensed seated milk, just got the redi $11 oz. all in all, I think that'll be my first time and last time.

probably expensive Malaysian food. basic selection. the bakku teh was good. very disappointing that this is not a restaurant with just taking away or eating in public court.
