Hogs Breath Aspley has always been my favourite of the HB restaurants in my area....but....I would only go there for the Tex Mex Combo it was fantastic.....'was' being the word here, it is no longer available on the menu, bad marketing move it was like their signature meal, so my son and I have no reason to go to HB anymore, still a great restaurant, great service, great atmosphere, but I can't score them 5 out of 5 anymore, sorry guys.
I'm not usually a huge fan of chain-style restaurants, however I visited Hogs Breath Aspley last night for a birthday and was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent - staff were super friendly and happy. The food was also great - good portion sizes, true to the menu, reasonably priced. Definitely changed my attitude towards this style of restaurant. Very impressed!
Poor service, four of us ordered steaks, all were full of gristle and could not be fully eaten, you needed the big steak knives just to be able to carve out the edible pieces. A very long wait between starters and main course. You can always sense how a restaurant operates when none of the staff dear to ask how your meal was!!Tried once but never again!!
I used to be a great fan of hogs breath, but no more. The staff do only what they have to and no more. There is no " experience " any more. We paid $30 for ribs with vegies corn was hard and cold broccoli that was mostly stem. Steak meal had mushroom sauce that was so water and thin it was tasteless. Expensive food that is not value for money Book a table now
'Rainbow' was extremely friendly and happy. We noticed this not just with our table but also the tables around us. The food was yummy- steaks and burgers. We were there around 5.30 and were served our food and drinks quite quickly. it was a lot busier by the time we left around 7pm.
We did enjoy our food but you can go to a pub and get the same thing for cheaper a larger serving. If you want meat then the hogs breath menu is the way to go. They do $12 lunches but our servings were small. Id go back though as it is a good atmosphere.
We've been frequent diners for the last 15 years and will never return to Aspley hogs breath. The last two times we have been on a weeknight (last time was a Tuesday night), they had sold out of prime rib "signature steaks" by 6.30pm.
Didn't have a great experience. Wait staff were lazy, wouldn't remove empty bottles, even though the table was small. My partner and I only ordered one drink each. Better to go to a pub and get better service and a better meal. Book a table now
Friendly welcome and great food made it a lovely night. The steak is great. I had the fish - fabulous. And we shared the chocolate fondue with fresh fruit for dessert. Great. Thanks
