I visited this restaurant with my partner and son during the rugby match and Halloween festivities while staying at the nearby hotel. We were promptly seated and enjoyed a lovely table setting with nice decorations. The menu offered a variety of affordable options, and I highly recommend the hunters chicken. The energy and banter between the staff and guests, particularly about the South Africans and New Zealanders, added to the fantastic atmosphere. Despite the lively environment, our food arrived promptly. The Halloween costumes, including a bartender dressed as a witch and a waiter with a toy knife through his head, added to the fun ambiance. I don’t normally leave reviews however the food was amazing and the staff are so lovely!!! The pretty manger on shift with the glasses did such a great job !! one of the staff sat a guy and told him to order at the bar however after 15min went up and started yelling at this poor girl that he didn’t get table service and that he wasn’t told when he clearly was as I was sat at the table next to him !! This poor girl got yelled at for nothing and he said she was being rude when all she did was nicely tell him it is bar service and that there is a sign that says that !!! She handled the situation very well
If you go to the horse and jockey in Aylesbury for food after being taken to your table you would expect the person that took you to your table to inform you that you order at the bar. Rude personnel. Avoid. Thanks Miller and Butler you know how to run a pub. And PLEASE do not insult me with the fact that there is a board stating you have to order at the bar. When you start out at 6am in the morning and travel over 400 miles in the day. You don't expect rudeness when wanting to order food. Absolute disgrace.
I stopped by for a drink on my way to visit family and found this place to be great. The staff was very friendly, the beer was great, and the service was fast. I decided last minute to eat and had a deliciously cooked steak served perfectly. I will definitely be back next time I am passing through.

We are locals, went here for the festive menu in December and again New Years Day, food was great both times, thanks to Ellie in December, quite busy but she was very attentive to our table, nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou Harry and the team for a lovely time
I stopped by on Christmas Eve for a drink. The staff was very friendly, the drinks were good, and they had live music playing. It was just a guy with a guitar, but he was very talented. His name was Donnacha.
Went and saw some live music on Friday (Donnacha) with some friends and had a great time, great venue. Friendly staff and the beers was good and plentiful. Definitely going back.
