I visited this hotel for 1 night at the end of a 12-day walk through the Engadin. Hotel Bregaglia is a charming and old hotel. Charming because the building has preserved its typical atmosphere, with antique furniture, high ceilings, original woodwork, beautiful. And yes, it's old and maybe needs maintenance. But I can only hope they will never renovate this hotel, but keep this old building as it is. The double room was nice, light and large. A good shower/bath. Nice furniture. The beds probably need new mattresses, but I like the old style beds and didn't disturb them. The staff was friendly, Diner was good on the terrace outside. Unfortunately the Hotel Bregaglia has seen its best days ... but it is still an impressive building with lots of charme! The restaurant called "Restaurant - Trattoria" on one side of the building is neither a design heaven (plastic furniture and sponsored sun umbrellas are normally not my thing) ... but wow - the food was excellent: we had "Chestnut Ravioli" (with a filling of goat cheese and racial, and a mushroom sauce) and "Gnocchi Valtellinesi" (with little tomatoes and local sausage) - both dishes were excellent! And they were served in no time, which was great since we had to take the bus/Postauto in half an hour. The service was friendly and efficient. All together a very positive sur...

Unfortunately, Hotel Bregaglia has seen its best days... but it is still an impressive building with a lot of charm! The restaurant restaurant Trattoria on one side of the building is neither a design sky (plastic furniture and sponsored parasols are usually not my thing) ... but wow the food was excellent: we had Chestnut Ravioli (with a filling of goat cheese and breed, and a mushroom sauce) and Gnocchi Valtellinesi (with small tomatoes and local sausage) both dishes were excellent! And they were not served in any time, which was great, as we had to take the bus/postcar in half an hour. The service was friendly and efficient. All together recommend a very positive surprise and a restaurant...
