As it was a nice evening, we walked along the main street, parallel with the Rhine, and came across the Rheinstein. As it didn't look too busy, we decided to try it. After selecting a table to sit at, the waiter brought the menus, and asked what we wished to drink. We ordered 2 glasses of white wine, and for our main courses ordered Pork in an onion sauce accompanied by carrots potato rissoles and Lamb in a mushroom sauce and potato rissoles, both accompanied by salads. We asked if we could have pancakes and Raspberry Panna Cotta, cream ice cream for us to share. To our delight we were served with a pancake each on separate plates- the first time we had got a sharing sweet on separate dishes...
Wished I had been staying at this hotel. alas not. But I stopped off for a Rudesheimer coffee (absolutely delicious) and nibbles one day and a meal the next. Wish I had space for the Sachertortes on display they looked yummy beyond belief!! Both days food well presented extensive range on the menu. Very popular place and great location Would definitely recommend.
Looked a nice place to eat and drink. However waiting staff were very miserable and unwelcoming. No smiles or politeness,generally poor service. Husbands meal was almost thrown at him,not placed. He also received his meal about 10 mins before our other 3 meals arrived. Staff need to learn the art of customer service. I do not recommend it and will not return.
We arrived in a group of 23 people and were seated immediately. Our service was swift, orders were taken within minutes of sitting down and drinks followed shortly. Food was delicious! Staff was truly accommodating and friendly! Highly recommend eating here.
