Elk Lake Banquet room charges insane catering prices! We rented the lounge for a private event and we were overcharged by almost double! We paid for a room rental with the understanding that we would have a dedicated beverage server (we did not) and 1 platter each of chicken wings, fresh veggies, fresh fruit and charcuterie. There were no beverages except water included (which we needed to remind them to provide as it was not set up when we arrived). It was almost $1000!!! Highway robbery! Buyer beware!

Surprisingly good place for some classics. I got the panko crusted stuffed chicken breastfeeding and my friends got the bc salmon and 4 cheese garlic bread. Everything was pretty good. My chicken's crust was beautifully crisp and it was topped with a really rich creamy sauce. I also got the riblets appetizer which where deep frisk to a crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. I really liked this place because for once my chicken wasn't dry on the inside. Quite cheesy but isn't too overpowering.

Went here for breakfast on an acquaintance 's recommendation. Too bad about my acquaintance 's taste buds. Thick gummy, overcooked pancakes. And a Westcoast Omelet that will make you never want to visit the west coast again. Consisted of a folded egg pancake that looked deep fried, with lumps of cream cheese tossed in. And... Chunks of gross salty rubber that might have been microwaved salmon. The stars are for the fried capers in the omelet, and the farmer 's sausage not too bad.

Went to this restaurant today had to wait 30 mins while 2 inept waiters doddled around, took another 15 mins to get a coffee and another 15 mins to get our breakfast which was cold on arrival. The waitress is long past her due date and should retire. This place used to be good but has dropped off dramatically. Will not be returning
