The service here has always been questionable always getting your coffee a good 5-10 minutes before your bagel order. BUT, as of Monday 12th July 2021 my whole experience was outrageously bad. I ordered a coffee and a #9. I got my coffee instantly. While about 9 staff had fun, laughing and told jokes along with blaring rap music in the background with serious profanities, I then waited 25 minutes for my bagel. Not one person asked if I was ok or if I needed anything. When I approached the bench and asked when I’d get my bagel they proceeded to realise they’d run out of schnitzel. I’ve been to the Mentone store several times. The bagels are tasty but not for the first time I’ve received something other than what I’ve ordered. Today I raised this and was told I’d made a mistake then got home to find most of the remainder of the order was wrong. Staff have to start listening! Wont be back as there are plenty of other options.
Had one of their chopped egg and bacon bagels on a gf bagel one week and it was really good, went back a week or so later to get another one and it was awful. I ended up throwing half of it away. Overcooked, dry bacon and eggs and gf bagel wasn’t fresh. It’s not the first time I’ve had such inconsistency there.
After waiting 30 minutes to find out my order had been given to another customer, I regretfully will not be coming back to your venue. I would not recommend this venue to family and friends as it sounds like this venue has mixed up orders many times.
