Whenever I'm in San Francisco I make a point to stop at the ferry building, I love it. It reminds me of that scene during the first season of Grey's Anatomy when Meredith Grey is commuting to you know what, never mind. The point is this: every time I get off the plane and enter this ferry building no matter what time of day it is I pop into the Humphry Slocombe stand and grab a quick scoop of their most famous creation, Secret Breakfast. The ice cream flavors at this restaurant are top-notch, making it difficult to choose just one. The staff is always friendly and patient, which is perfect for someone like me who likes to try multiple flavors before deciding. I recently tried the cornflake crunch flavor and it was excellent, I would definitely recommend it. However, I do not recommend getting it in a cone as the ice cream is quite dense and I ended up dropping it on the floor while eating. The service was excellent though, and the worker kindly replaced my ice cream.

Yesterday afternoon, my friends and I visited Humphry's and we were greeted by an employee with an eyebrow piercing who was very patient with us. They allowed us to try a variety of samples, which was a really nice touch. I enjoyed the unique flavors they had to offer.
The coldest inconvenient waitress in an ice business I've ever been interacting with. When everything was slow and she was on the phone. You're welcome. This is not the service you expect when you pay 6 dollars for a ball of ice.

Such a good stop. Love their unique flavors. Secret Breakfast is of course the most popular and a safe favorite but really any flavors there is unique and something worth a try. Gotta make it a point to stop by.

Secret Breakfast is amazing! There are about 4-5 stools so you can sit inside. The staff was so friendly!
