My husband and I went to have Mother’s Day brunch at the Oakdale Hy Vee restaurant this morning This was definitely the worst buffet brunch I have ever had. First it was $50 for the 2 of us. We were given a nasty orange drink instead of real orange juice and she only filled the small glasses a little over half full. The buffet was extremely lacking: biscuits and watered down sausage gravy, soupy cheesy potatoes with onion and bacon bits, greasy soggy bacon, sausage links, extremely dry AND cold FAKE scrambled eggs with hard melted cheese on top, a small bowl of assorted fruit, croissants, small apple pastries, donut holes, ham and over cooked prime rib. No muffins, toast, bagels, English muf...
Just had another bad experiece. Ordered a dinner that included 4 jumbo bisquets. Didn't get them included with order. When I asked about why, I was given 4 little dinner rolls, take it or leave it. Sam thing happened last time, but wasn't offered the dinner rolls. Done with them. Had rated them higher in the past. But just picked up dinner. Sides included mash potaroes and gravy. I got about 3 tablespoons of gravy for a 4 person serving. Very poor service. There is a KFC just across the road, and they always give plenty of gravy. Chicken is better too. Worst food ever. I 've never been to this Burger place. You order in the grocery store, then go in the huge restaurant. There were 2 other tables full at 1 pm. I got a sloppy joe which was a pile of canned onion strips over some sort of orange sauce and a white suace. I dug in the find a spoonful of meet stuck to some kind of bread. When I handed it back to the waitress she said the goo was cheese. She was not a happy camper. I got a pre-frozen hamburger that was dry and tasteless, served on an already greasy piece of paper on a tray. I would give it a zero. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
Staff not knowledgeable/ cashier rude/walked out. Have dealt with the management before. 1 occasion they charged my CC 120+ that was not the right card. Left my family strapped for the next two weeks. Another time I was charged 3 times for the same package of 18.00 meat. Was only credited for 1. I guess I donated 18.00. That was two of the many problems. Manager never called me when I asked, I think lower Management is trying to hide problems.

I tried Mom's Sloppy Joe with extra bread on top so that it wouldn't be an open faced sandwich. I loved it, and would order again, but there are also other options I would like to try. I only go here on special occasions, like family member birthdays.Kid-friendliness: We sat in the casual-setting dining area, not in the restaurant, which allows us to get our own drink refills and louder atmosphere.
Breakfast was good. Would have liked to order and paid at table. Have to do this inside the actual Hy-vee store then go in and find a seat. There is a special for September for bottomless mimosas for $12 on Saturdays from 8-12, I think. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20
I order delivery of groceries a lot and this Hy Vee has been the best by far! I was missing a couple items in my delivery and they sent them out to me ASAP. They were very friendly and the fresh and meats here are the best around!

i love birger. fush sandwich taste phishy. waited 2.5 hours tanksgiving. KFC is across street they don’t hold good.
