This restaurant is perfect for individuals and introverts who prefer not to engage in conversation but still want to enjoy a meal out in a public setting without feeling awkward. I visited a couple of months ago, and I absolutely loved it. It's within walking distance of Madison Square Garden, which is convenient if you have a concert to attend afterward. The establishment operates on a no-tipping policy, and the entire meal cost me around $20 to $30. If you’d like seconds, just ring the bell, and they'll gladly bring it to you. The chef-server who attended to me was extremely friendly. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this place.

I typically visit the Brooklyn location with my friends and have never gone solo before. However, today I found myself in Midtown and decided to try this location on my own, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. Sitting at the solo booth felt cozy and private. There’s a bell on the table that you can ring for assistance, so you won't be disturbed otherwise. The ramen is just as tasty as at the Brooklyn location. I just wish they had a wider variety of items on the menu, as I would love to come here more often for different dishes.
I arrived around 12:40 and had to wait about 40 minutes to get seated, so be prepared for a bit of a line if you visit during busy lunch hours. However, I’d say it was worth the wait. The noodles and broth were cooked to perfection, and the level of spiciness was just right for my taste. I highly recommend trying their matcha pudding; I almost passed on it, but a friend insisted I give it a try. I'm so glad I did—it’s been over 24 hours and I can’t stop thinking about how delicious it was! The staff were also very friendly and attentive.
The wait was lengthy, but it was absolutely worth it! You'll probably find yourself waiting outside, weather permitting. Once you're inside, you'll be seated in a cozy booth, so remember that dining with a large group won't be quite the same as sitting at a standard table. The food takes a bit of time to come out, but it's incredibly delicious. The staff is exceptional, and it's worth mentioning that tipping is not permitted here. If anyone deserves a tip, it's these dedicated employees. Be sure not to miss out on this place! Book a table now
This restaurant offers a unique solo dining experience, featuring private booths that let you enjoy your meal in tranquility. I arrived around 3-4 PM when the place was mostly empty and there were no lines. However, it took some time before I was acknowledged and seated. Once I was at my table, the service became prompt and very attentive. The ramen is outstanding and definitely makes the visit worthwhile. That said, I wouldn't recommend waiting over an hour for it, so I suggest visiting during off-peak hours.
A friend recommended this place to me, saying it had the best ramen she’d ever tasted. While I wouldn’t go that far, it was definitely quite good! The highlight for me was the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant—I really loved it! The staff was also nice. It can get quite busy, and you might have to wait in line, but I lucked out and found it to be fairly empty. Overall, I’d give it a 10/10. Definitely check it out!
The ramen here is on the expensive side, with a standard bowl costing $27. It's okay to try it occasionally. It's nice that they don't have a tipping culture at this restaurant. The flavors are enjoyable, which is expected given the reputation and price. The service is excellent as well.
The food was delicious and definitely worth the price. While I didn't find it to be significantly different from some other ramen places I've tried, the overall experience of dining here was well worth it! I highly recommend it for the ambiance. Book a table now
I've been wanting to come here every time I visit. It was such a unique experience! I felt completely comfortable dining alone. The food was fantastic.
Absolutely delicious! This might be some of the best ramen I've ever tasted.
