I remembered having an exquisite omelette here the last time I was in Plymouth, so I chanced it again. And great was the omelette once more. I love an omelette for breakfast, if I can find somewhere that does them--because it's a more reliable form of eggs than scrambled or fried in a cafe, I find. I asked for a cheese-and-tomato omelette with hash browns, and they unexpectedly did me three hash browns. All that and a tea for £4.50. To be honest, the tea wasn't the nicest; but the omelette again was a cracker. I saw the lady put the tomatoes and eggs in together, and that must be the secret of the fluffy masterpiece she produced. (When I do them at home I have to fry the tomatoes separately...
I was in the Plymouth area and met with some old workmates at their Monthly get together at Irene’s Pantry. Good clean area and extensive home cooked food menu as well as Good Drinks Selection. We enjoyed Coffees and a Chocolate Biscuit whilst we put the world to rights and talked over the old times. Lunch for most of us followed and as it was the Festive Period we sat to enjoy a traditional Roast Turkey Feast. All freshly prepared and good portion size and at a price that would not break the bank. Well recommended.
My daughter and I traveled from Brisbane to visit my elderly mother. During our stay, we frequently ordered the large breakfast with mushrooms, an additional egg, two cups of tea, and an extra plate. The two wonderful ladies working there quickly learned our preferences and would bring the extra plate and pour the teas before we even had to ask. The service was excellent and the meal was great value for money. I highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10.
I regularly visit Irene's and the food and customer service are exceptional. The staff are always friendly and fantastic. I usually order the stew or roast dinner, which are all homemade, and the cakes are delicious. I highly recommend Irene's for their excellent service and delectable food. I would give them ten stars every time.

My Mum and I popped in for lunch and had two delicious roast dinners. We often come here to eat as the staff are always so helpful and even remember our choice of drinks! The staff is friendly and helpful, the coffee is excellent, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. They have a great variety of dishes on the menu. I have become a regular customer and will definitely keep coming back.
A really lovely lunch with plenty of options including a home made steak pie tried and enjoyed by one of our group who meet once a month. The very friendly staff gave us quick service and made us feel very wellcome
