If you visit Hobart without absorbing Salamanca Place, did it actually happen? And what’s better absorbed (for yourself your arteries) than hot buttered rum: it’s like a hug from the inside out. Here you even get to select your rum of choice so duh obviously we released the Kraken. Mmmm spicy.<br/ <br/ Round two settling in, we need food. Calamari w thai salad was nicely done not at all oily the herbs nam jim brought the sass. Seasoned chips w gravy dead set rocked. While not fancy it was still a damn fine, well priced pub meal with great service at a fab location. <br/ <br/ For us this is a solid venue that always delivers. Soak it up.
We enjoyed the pub food at this restaurant during our trip to Tasmania. We tried the Beef and Guinness pie on one visit and the Sunday roast on another. The roast was excellent, but the pie was just okay. The prices were a bit high, as is common in Hobart, but the staff were very friendly. The wine selection was good, but also pricey - $8 for a glass when you could buy a whole bottle for less at Dan Murphy's. Pints were also $11.
The best pub I've ever been to in Oz. Reminds me of some of the pubs in the UK. We had dinner at Irish Murphs's last night ... baked brie followed by the Irish croquettes, washed down with a mulled cider. Truelly a meal to die for... 10/10 Irish Murphy's... we'll be back!

For a pub I wasn't expecting that much, however, I was pleasantly surprised. <br/ <br/ We got cheesy garlic bread, Irish croquettes, and squid to share; I got the lamb ribs and hubs got the duck snags. <br/ <br/ Everything was tasty.
We were the only customers in the pub, but it was about 9pm on a Sunday night and the service was excellent. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, there was football on the TV, and the music was great.
Easily my favorite Irish pub. Live music, great Guinness , great food and great staff. I'm gunning for that 100 Pints of Guinness club, hope you guys get some more cards soon (y)
