Found this gem of a place and WOW!! It smelled amazing as I was walking up! The restaurant was very clean and bright colors with outdoor seating, very welcoming! Upon entering the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised. This place is really decorated and set up impeccably!! I chose to sit at the bar which was almost full! As I sat I heard the guys next to me raving about their food and how great it was. They highly recommended the dirty Frank which was absolutely as delicious as he said!! This place has such a good vibe and I thought the tacos were very affordably priced for the size and quality of the ingredients. I have been to irmas tacos on a few occasions. Sometimes with plant-based company and sometimes with someone who eats SAD (Standard American Diet). When dining in, we have enjoyed our experience. We have stopped ordering from this restaurant as they've messed up delivery orders each time- sometimes meaning the recipient can't eat it. They currently have a vegan section for the menu- yay! My favorites are the impossible tacos and the Rina (cauliflower). However... The Rina is listed under the vegan section but it contains honey. I inquired and it is not a vegan honey alternative. Frustrating that as-is the taco is not vegan but is listed under the vegan section. Always have to read carefully....
Stopped by Irma’s tacos on my way home from Clearwater as my friend from Tampa was raving about this place. I sat at the bar , was immediately greeted by the bartender..she was on point taking care of her customers at the bar plus making cocktails for other patrons at the restaurant. I had Lunas Blood orange Margarita-very delish, not overwhelmingly sweet which I liked, grilled watermelon w habanero salt, queso fresco and 2 dif tacos ?, 1 w fried gator , 1 w fried oysters, both were delish. I watched other ppl ordering various things on the menu and thoroughly enjoying it all . Cannot wait my friend to visit here from Tampa, so we can come back to Irma’s tacos.
I avoid the bar here depending on who is working. Service from the servers have been great but the bar I've had several bad experiences with. From them just talking to their buddy's and not paying attention to the bar. To sitting there looking at the food sit under the warmer after the line is done cooking with them not going to get it.It's a bummer that chips and salsa are extra but they are amazing and worth it.If it wasn't for poor service at the bar I would have totally gave this place 5stars. Stopped by Irma’s after the local farmers market for a quick brunch. There was nothing quick about this meal once I realized they had a mimosa flight and bottomless mimosas. Food was delicious, mimosa flavor options…are you kidding me?! The lychee was my personal favorite. Staff was moving around constantly and smiling. Irma’s you’ve done it again!
Overall a good experience. Wife loved her vegan tacos me on the other hand not so much. Their take on chips not my favorite but the steak/shrimp fajitas are where I had troubles. The meat and shrimp are cooked to death. Waaaay over done. I was warned but thought I could deal with it and was sadly mistaken. Oh well.
Service was beyond subpar, unfortunately. No asking how our food was, just took a 75% full plate away without question. Do yourself a favor and support a small mom/pop taco shop. This was just such a disappointment. Can’t believe this place actually does fair business.
We love Irma's Tacos. The food is always great and the staff is very friendly. Never had a bad meal there and we have been going there since it opened. It is a fun place to dine and we truly enjoy it every time we go. Book a table now
Wouldn't go out of my Way for this place, but there was SO many vegan options which was lovely. They differed too which was a nice change.
