This place was recommended when I mentioned I was looking for a black sauce dish I ate while in Korea. My family tried many dishes to be able to give a true review of the restaurant. The palbochae dish was very flavorful. The “soup” was great over white rice and the scallops were tasty. The vegetable fried rice was our favorite dish followed by japchae. Fish cakes and kimchi that come along with the food are acquired tastes that my family doesn’t enjoy so we didn’t eat these items. It doesn’t make a difference what restaurant provided them, we wouldn’t eat it so this isn’t a knock on Ja Kum Sung. The veggie lo mein and black bean dish were just ok. Nothing about it stood out and made it memo...

I was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant, and the food did not disappoint. I managed to get my picky eater to try seven new dishes, and she ended up enjoying four of them, which made my mom happy and eager to return. However, when it was time to leave, we paid with a card and left a cash tip. Just as we were about to exit, we were stopped and asked for an additional tip. The woman insisted that our original tip was insufficient because one person served our drinks, another brought our food, and yet another cleared our table. She refused to let us pass, standing directly between us and the door. As more people started to notice the situation, I felt so embarrassed. It was trul...
Be cautious about where you park when visiting this restaurant. The Korean lady at the front desk, who has a striking appearance, tends to be quite aggressive about parking issues and may threaten to tow your vehicle. It's important to maintain some manners, as it seems she struggles to recognize different vehicles, which creates problems for patrons whose cars don’t resemble those of the owners next door. I frequent this place despite the poor service because I enjoy the food, but I’m concerned about potentially being left without a vehicle. This behavior feels like favoritism or even racism. By the way, I’m white, and during my last visit, I found that the seafood in my soup wasn’t properl...
My girlfriend and I love this place! We've been to this restaurant about four times overall now, and every time we've had prompt service, delicious food, and a great experience. We even brought her parents here to introduce them to Korean food. They have a broad menu with a ton of great options, but my personal favorites are the seafood pancake, the octopus bibimbap, and the beef bulgogi.I highly recommend that anyone in the area try this place! Kid-friendliness: The staff is very kind and my two kids and their friends always ask for me to take them back
This was a fantastic experience. I had a beer, dumplings, and Jjamppong noodles. The service was friendly, the food delicious, and delightful atmosphere. I didn't know what to expect, but it felt like stepping into a piece of South Korea.Likely my new favorite restaurant. Parking: Plenty of parking in rear.
This was my first Korean restaurant I didn't really know what to expect I ordered the beef and broccoli with vegetables and it was very bland it tasted like everything was steamed including the meet there was no flavor at
Love Korean food. This place is authentic but prices are a bit high compared to others in the area and I've had better food elsewhere. The variety of bonchon that is given is nice. Book a table now
The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I will definitely be returning. The buchu japchae was outstanding—there was so much of it!
Great place for big groups/private events. Their food is solid.
